American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) AACC is an international scientific/medical society of clinical laboratory professionals, physicians, research scientists and other individuals involved with clinical chemistry and related disciplines. Founded in 1948, the society has 10,000 members and is headquartered in Washington, DC.
American Medical Technologists (AMT) The American Medical Technologists (AMT) is a nonprofit certification agency and professional membership association representing over 46,000 individuals in allied health care. Established in 1939, AMT has been providing allied health professionals with professional certification services and membership programs to enhance their professional and personal growth.
American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS) ASCLS serves as the voice of all clinical laboratory professionals, creating a vision for the advancement of the clinical laboratory practice field, and advocating the value and the role of the profession ensuring safe, effective, efficient, equitable, and patient centered health care.
American Society for Microbiology (ASM) The American Society for Microbiology is the oldest and largest single life science membership organization in the world. Membership has grown from 59 scientists in 1899 to more than 43,000 members today, with more than one third located outside the United States. The members represent 26 disciplines of microbiological specialization plus a division for microbiology educators.
American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Since its founding in 1922, ASCP has been the leader in pathology and laboratory medicine. The society’s influence has guided the evolution and maturation of this medical specialty. ASCP is unique among pathology organizations in that its inclusive membership unites pathologists and laboratory professionals to advance the profession.
New York State Clinical Laboratory Association (NYSCLA) The New York State Clinical Laboratory Association, Inc. (NYSCLA) is a not-for-profit trade association which promotes the common business interests and seeks to improve the business conditions of clinical laboratories located or operated within New York State.
New York State Society of American Medical Technologists (NYSSAMT) NYSSAMT is a state chapter of the American Medical Technologist society. NYSSAMT seeks to endorse the national standards of health care in laboratory sciences as well as clinical, administrative, medical, and dental assistant services within New York State.

American Society of Clinical Pathology Board of Certification The ASCP Board of Registry (BOR) was founded in 1928 by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), six years after the Society was founded in 1922. The BOC is a separate certifying body within the organizational structure of the ASCP. To date, over 430,000 individuals have been certified by the BOC that is recognized as the preeminent certifying agency for clinical laboratory personnel.
The National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) The National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) is committed to being the premier international agency for accreditation and approval of educational programs in the clinical laboratory sciences and related health professions through the involvement of expert volunteers and its dedication to public service.
