The Student Access Center is a National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) voter registration site. The center's staff at SUNY Erie are able to assist students with disabilities to register to vote.

In order to register to vote in New York State, you must meet the following qualifications:
1) be a United States Citizen
2) be 18 years old by December 31 of the year in which you register to vote (note: you must be 18 years old by the date of the general, primary or other election in which you want to vote)
3) be a resident of this state and the county, city or village you are registering in for at least 30 days before the election
4) not be in prison or on parole for a felony conviction
5) not be adjudged mentally incompetent by a court
6) not claim the right to vote elsewhere (i.e. not also registered to vote in another state, county, city or village)
